So I have finally decided to join the blogging world. Probably only I will read it, but this is a start. I read recently that someone had started a diary for their child and I figured that I needed to start at least writing down memories for Mafa (who is now 13 months old).

We went sledding with the family today up at Timberlakes. Mom, dad, Ron, 'Auka, Brad, Sonnet (Brad's girlfriend), Stacy and Pace all were there for the fun too.

We went sledding down the road and mom had Mafa ride with her on the ATV. Mafa was loving it…I wish we took some pictures or videos of the smile on her face. Needless to say they changed machines to the snowmobile about an hour into the sledding. I didn't see it but I guess mom tried to turn around at the bottom of the road and "gunned it" according to Brad. The machine tipped over and mom got hurt but I think was more traumatized because Mafa was fast first in the snow and not moving.

Thankfully we have an amazing little girl that is truly Tongan. She walked away with a small scratch on her cheek, a bruise on her leg and a SMILE! She is a champ!

I'm not sure how I got so lucky to have 'Auka and Mafa in my life but I am truly grateful for them! They are my everything. I love that Taumafa wakes up in the morning with a BIG smile on her face and it takes a lot to see any other side of her. She is awesome at making a squishy face and will give it to anyone and everyone!

She saw a dog today and was in love! She gets so excited and just talked up a storm today when the dog was around the cabin.

She is such a sweet little spirit and definitely one of my tender mercies! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this little girl!

Today was a great start to a new year! I'm excited for new adventures for our family.

Some of my goals:
-Read the scriptures daily
-Pray daily
-Read/sing to both Mafa and Merrick daily
-Express my love for people more openly
-Remember that every child that comes into my classroom is the entire world to someone else! They are  someone else's Mafa!
-Attend temple regulary
-Keep a journal with memories, etc.
